  1. it has to be a GSM phone (uses a sim card) and must be unlocked (quad band), then it will work on GSM providers in Canada

  2. It will cost a fortune using your USA phone vs a Canadian cell…but it will probably work, depending on your service provider. Why not check with your provider, they will have first hand knowledge about this.
