  7. hey dude…how often do you use 3G? Is 3G that important? Is a phone really useless when it doesn’t have 3G? Come on! Think about last time when there was no 3G for all phones…how can they survive?? Anyway…this is a really great phone and affordable…I’m gonna buy this fantastic phone!! Cheers for Nokia!!

  9. get a wifi modem dude…so that u can use the wifi feature in nokia 5530….it is a very cool phone both with features and looks….it is a lot better than nokia 5800 which is very big in terms of size….

  10. Hey dude, 3G is not that important! I had a 3.5G SE W595 using it for 1 yrs but only use 3G ONCE!!. And now i bought the awesome Nokia 5530!!
    Nokia Hoooooooooray!!!!! 5530 is faster than 5800!! It has the same ARM 11 processor with N97 whereas 5800 has a slower processor. Buy 5530!!!

    BTW brunte 5800 is much expensive than 5530

    can anyone tell me that i wanted to upgrade my nokia 5530 firmware i have downloaded that but it does not install in the phone its upgrade size was 127mb i dont know the phone free memory is 75 mb how the firware will be upgraded,,,
    pls advice

  16. Hey, I bought 5530, and it’s great. I’m very happy with it. I don’t care bout 3G, cause I don’t use it, I use Wi-Fi (much better). Just I’m angry cause it doesn’t have GPS chip inside. But anyway there is a way. You can use it either with external blue-tooth GPS, or you can use it with Google maps or Ovi maps from nokia. It’s great, but could be a little expensive. 😉

  17. I have just bought this phone and am over the moon with it except for the camera, can anyone else tell me if they are getting grainy photos because I am not sure if it is a fault. My 3 mega pixel camera on my old Nokia takes much better photos?

  24. I am going to buy this phone! its awesome, and i just realised, the 5800 has a slower processor then the 5530.

    so your paying another 100 dollars for a slower phone with 3G?

  25. hey guys, i have a problem with my nokia 5530 xpressmusic, whenever i try to make a call from my cell, it turns off at once, i did restore all the factory settings but nothing changed, when i use handsfree it is ok, but as soon as i remove the hands free during the call the phone turns off. what should i do???

  26. hi bought the 5530 to replace my nokia n95 and it was the best thing ive done this year superb stuff on this phone i got it new and cheap at the carphone warehouse like the animated themes free apps as well love the wifi idea superb phone would surgest to but great touch screen fantastic well done nokia

    bought this fone about a month ago and after a week it started acting up. if i try to answer or recieve a cell without the headset it the habdset turns off. checked the Nokia site and lots of other people are having the same problem but they refuse to do anything about it!!!

  37. guys, you can download an app from the ovi store, that let’s you see others in a call 😉 it’s an AMAZING phone!!!! it’s the Best ever 🙂

  38. @ Brandon, you can dwonload the msn messenger app for free rom the ovi store, and it even amkes that noise it normally does on the pc when someone send a msg 😉

  40. Hi I have the same problem as taqveem & Ghe.
    I bought this phone end of November.
    Since yesterday it’s acting problematic, if i try to call or recieve a call without the headset it turns itself off.
    And if I call with the speaker on, than it turns itself off after 45 seconds.
    Does anybody have an idea what the problem might be?

  45. The loudspeaker is stronger than most of the phones i had i have to keep it at 1/2 volume 🙂
    This phone Rocks!

    BTW: Plaing Warcraft II on it now 😀

  46. As highlighted above, this phone has a MAJOR flaw with its sensor system that turns the phone off when receiving or making calls with the handset. The Nokia website has a slew of complaints about this problem. My 5530 developed this problem after 2 months of moderate usage and was repaired, only to develop the exact same fault again a few days later. I sold it and will not buy a Nokia again. Buy this phone at your own risk.

  48. Oh yes 3G is not important at all. majority of people who buy cellphone doesn’t check if 3G is available. Im so excited to buy one 😀 I have browsed that phone and HELL! IT’S WHAT YOU CALL AMAZING!! 😀
