very good phone amazing better than the droid!!!! no touchscreeen but still great phone! but the fingerprints are very noticable on the exterior of the phone
how do u get the messaging to just go to vibrate!?
Like the phone not love in love with it!
the phone is a power hog must be recharged daily
this phone is my favorite phone ever! it is worth buying but the only problem is it gets sticky and the fingerprints are noticable. but i give it 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent phone well worth the money… only a few small nit picks…
1) The phone will not stream any video online.. None.
2) Using your own custom ringtones requires outside sources (and no I don’t mean hacking or using a data cable). Simply putting your mp3’s/Trutones in the phone/on the card won’t work.
3) The keyguard switch should have been located at the top of the phone rather then the bottom for easier single hand answering.
4) No option to “stretch” custom wall papers… making 16:9 wallpapers automatically set with black bars at the top & bottom.
5) Outside screen would have been better if it was in color.
Other then that though the phone is great. To those complaining of fingerprints, get yourself some touchscreen guards. They prevent fingerprints and are relatively cheap.
i luv dis fone much more better than da sidekick!!! best choice ive eva made!!!!!
i luv dis fone much more better than da sidekick i had !!!!!! best choice ive eva made!!!!!of buying dis fone
this phone looks very interesting! im getting it! WOOT WOOT!
I just got this phone and so far so good. I cant seem to figure out how upload my pictures to my facebook page from the phone. Can someone help me with this?
Very nice looking phone, very cool outside screen and fairly clear inside one too. Menus are not well thought out or intuitive. Very difficult on either screen to see in bright daylight. I find the charge lasts one to two days depending on use although I am not a power user. Camera is fair quality at best and the bluetooth file transfer menus are clumsy at best. Again the menus should be better than they are! Phone dials well from inside and out, has a mediocre speaker for audio playback. Speakerphone function is ok but difficult to hear if there is much background noise. Internet function is very clumsy but reasonably fast. All in all I give it a 3 out of 5. Good phone for use with Boost because 50 bucks gets you all you can surf and talk.
Jus got this phone last night. I frickin love it only flaws are that the camera doesn’t flash and battery life is sucky other than that it’s awesome!!!!
cannot wait to get this phone
i have had this phone for a month and my battery life is excellent.. i listen to music at work 8 hours a day and shoot the web on breaks and rarely loose a bar. now that i updated the phone i can now watch youtube videos…nice phone
okay i was on this website reading the reviews just a few days ago. later that day i bought the phone. some of the reviews say negative things about it and you’re prolly thinking.. i shouldn’t get the phone. I lovee the phone. the fingerprints show but just wiping it quick takes them away. The texting is amazing. I love the keyboard it sends your texts fast and lets you leave the text message and while it’s sending you can be looking at your picture. I LOVE THAT FEATURE. Once in a while it will freeze up but you take the battery out.. and put it in and its good as new. The front is a touch and vibrates as you hit. the lock on the front is greatt. it’s an amazing slim little phone. I love it soo much. if you’re a texter this will be a perfect phone. also.. it takes GREAT pictures. like you hit the button and it immediately captures the photo. I love this phone and recommend it .
I have this phone on sprint’s network,and overall,it’s ok.
i love this phone i had it for about four days now but it want charge no more. i have the chager and the phone i put them together and nothing happends. someone plz help
darby.. just call the sprint operator. i had that problem with one of my sprint phones and they replaced it immediately. they’ll send you the exact same phone for free. or at least that’s what they did for me. it comes in the mail very fast.
I love the phone the only thing is i cant figure out how to get the music thats been bluetoothed to me to become ringtones. Also i cant watch utube videos or any videos for that matter.that sux
i love this phone except the vibration is very annoying and loud. when you open it, it does this annoying click noise, and sometimes it freezes up when i’m typing out a text and i receive one. also, twice when i had called someone and recived a call, it made a static noise and i couldn’t hear anything.
i love this phone except for one thing! my background doesnt work. when you flip it open, it’s jsut black. i have tried to set a picture as my background but it still ends up just black. i even took it to the sprint store and they couldnt figure it out.
i have this phone… locks up a lot when sending and recieving messages at the same time.. power hog.. internet is alright… messages get mis matched from time to time so you have to exit and reenter the messaging part… all around.. i miss my helio ocean 2 that i switched from and wish i could go back.
I’ve had this phone since Christmas day, I love this phone. Better than my gay old flip phone I had. I don’t care if it freezes. Every phone freezes.. Overall best phone I’ve ever had 🙂
well, I want to get this phone.. and I have to wait until I get paid again.. so, I’m not to sure. I want a phone that has good battery because I have the Motarola Clutch(sp?) and the battery life sucks bad! but, I’m debaiting on getting either the sanyo or the blackberry.
email me your feedback at the_sickest_flower@yahoo.com
I got this phone and I love it! Its perfect for me. The only thing I don’t like about it is that most of the wallpapers i download to it (from like phonezoo.com, funformobile.com, ect.) its (usually) so tiny! Also, I hate how you have to work everything from the inside…
How do I upload pictures on to facebook everytime it comes out select file but I can’t do nothing.
i’m debating on whether or not to get this phone but i REALLY want it….
i REALLY like this phone, & im getting it tomorrow. but alot of the reviews are bad. :// hows the battery life for a heavy texter?
I am going to get a new phone soon, and i have been looking at this one a lot. How is the battery life for a heavy texter(me)?
wellll im not sure if i want this phone or not it frezes alot and the battire life is bad idk!!!! im getting it in the mail in a cupple days should i keep it or get another!!!?????? soo confussing.
Hey guys i have a solution to th terrible battery life. Like anything run the battery out completely when you first get it after that leave it on the charger for 14 hours and i guarente your battery will last all day ……ps im sending this from the phone and this is great for a heavy texter but you have to warm up to the key board…:)
Good messaging phone. Snaptu works on it. Also Opera mini. OK for basic facebooking or twitter. Also got Attack Chopper 2 and Colour Mix, a really simple bejeweled clone to work on it. but other apps no such luck. I’ve tried lots of apps from getjar that are supposed to work but don’t. I’d love to get the stupid GPS in the thing to work without paying a monthly fee, but haven’t found anything that will work yet.
I have had the phone for two weeks…… so far so good it froze up once….I removed the battery….back to normal…. I dont like that the front smudges so quickly…. but wipe and go.. It’s great that my social networks automatically came with the phone…. e-mail is kind of confusing…. the fact that it locks after everyting is annoying…. overall i think it was worth the money…..I am a hairdresser… so note if you are hands on with chemicals, you will get frustrated with the touch screen… 7 out of 10
I hate this phone.
The Touch Screen beeps away will taling on the phone because heaven forbid your check should touch it will talking on the phone.
You cannot see the TouchScreen outside in actual daylight. Not everyone is a vampire and lives in the dark.
You can’t answer half of incoming calls without opening the clamshell because TouchScreen only works half the time.
Yeah, the inside is fun to surf but it has to work as a phone first. This phone is a POS.
my momsz might switch tew boost mobile cuz criket servicesz is juss dumb i tink i want dis phone but all da complaintsz: qot meh tinkin
Ok…. I would rate tis phone a 2 out of 5. I got this phone in January and I hate it. You cant see the touch screen outside, it fails messages all the time and its turns off automatically. Also it freezes and I have to wait a very long time so it will unfreeze. Also I am a very heavy texter and my battery dosnt last even 4 hours.
Dropped this phone in water completely and it dried out and worked perfectly! Nice.
The solution to the battery is for you to charge the phone for 6hrs without switching it on as soon as you got a new one. Then i can guarantee you that the battery will last as expected. That is the advice from Nokia for most of its phones
Seriously the worst phone I’ve ever had. I thought my old LG Rumor was bad, but this one takes the cake. I’ve had it for a little over 2 months and it’s been screwed up from day 1. It’s stylish looking and the keyboard is nice, but the phone has soo many problems.
1) You can hardly do anything from the front screen. Can’t read new texts, send texts, or edit contacts list or call history. Can only see that you have a missed alert, can only see contacts, can only see call history. The front screen is impossible to read in the daylight, so if someone’s calling you and you’re outside, you just have to answer and hope it’s not someone you’d rather press the “ignore” button on. The touch feature is extremely annoying as well. When calling your voicemail, you have to unlock the screen to press 1 and call, then you have to hold down the unlock button AGAIN to type in your password, then lock it again to put your face on it to listen to it, then unlock it again to delete the message and press end. This is bad for calling people while you’re driving also, because you have to used more than one click of a button to answer a call or end a call. Yes, when someone is calling, you have to hold down the unlock button to unlock the screen to answer it.
2)Some may say this is a “texting phone,” but only if you’re texting one person. Even then it still has some problems. If you recieve another text while you’re reading a text or replying back, it will freeze up, and usually I have to manually take out the battery, put it back in, wait a few seconds, then turn it on again and hopefully I’m able to read the text. I was reading a text just last night and I got a phone call at the same time and my whole phone spazzed. I had to take out the battery etc, turn it on, and it said “service error,” so I had to completely turn it off all over again. If the call was an emergency, I would have obviously been of no help to them considering it took me 5 minutes to even call them back.
3) Even when you aren’t texting, this phone is incredibly slow and lags all the time. You cannot quickly shuffle through to your menu, then click back and go check your inbox. No, you have to wait for it to catch up to your “fast clicking.”
Overall, this phone is a piece of junk. I wish I had waited longer to see what others’ reviews would be on it so I could have renewed my contract to another phone. Now I am stuck with this idiot phone for the next 2 years. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT get this phone unless you move as slow as it does.
Well first, the phone does have style and its cute and the color was brilliant for man or a woman…thats the good news. We just bought the phone today and it already froze and had to take the battery out and reset. The design of the phone is sooooooooo weird. The camera is totally upside down and should of been in the middle of the cam since you have to open it to take a photo….which are semi decent. The touchscreen on the outside is nice EXCEPT you can basically only DIAL from it. You cannot text or get to any of your menus from it. It reminds me of an upgraded version of the Katana…which we all know SUCKKKKKKED. The phone has a GREAT keyboard for texting but if you are like me at all, you want that front screen text pad so when you are in a hurry, you can text from the front of the screen. You HAVE to open the phone to read your text…BUMMER and so inconvient…especially when driving. You also have to use a little button to see your keypad to dial and if its daylight….get ready to be pissed off. Im trying to find ways to love the phone since I have it now…both me and my husband so im going to keep working on trying to make the features that it does have work for me although right now im very irritated by all the work you have to do to get thru one phone call. My husband is in heaven with the phone, but as long as he can get youtube and music…he is good. Im a practical and text kind of person so convenience is what I need and this phone aint it. I would suggest taking a GOOOOOOOOOOOOD look at ALL the features and how it really works before buying and then make a decision if you want to go thru all that to have the phone
I cant wait to get this phone this week. Most of the people say it turns off and freezes. But i think it’s because their ruff with the phone , And i dont rlly care if it freezes only takes a sec to reset it but the camera thing yeah atleast should moved it but overall still a great phone cant wait to get 8) 8) 8)…
i have the incognito and i use the mediplayer and cam i alot i havent had to charge it for 2 days so i dunno where ppl get its a power hog 🙂
5 stars
The review calls the Incognito a smart phone. It is not a smartphone. At least Sprint does not consider it one. If you are considering this over your blackberry, palm, or htc: Don’t. Especially if you are spoiled by your smartphone’s features. The freezing is almost always due to people downloading games, ringtones, etc that are from a 3rd party (read: not Sprint or boost). There are glitches in 3rd party dowloads that will mess up your phone just as downloading music and programs from random sites onto your computer will screw it up. If a 3rd party item messes up your phone, it voids the warranty. If they send you a replacement and find the glitch in your old phone is from 3rd party items, they WILL BILL YOU FOR THE NEW PHONE.Overall, this phone is meant to be a cheap phone that looks like an expensive one for parents to get for their kids. It’s not for people who use their phone for work or business and need to e-mail and download documents frequently.
Bought this phone thinking I had hit bank on an awesome deal as we all know you can barely beat boost mobile’s $50 a month fee for unlimited text, talk, and web. Little did I know of all the glitches that awaited me on the other end of spending $130 for the phone and $50 for first months services. As ocd as I am, I could care less of the fingerprints-they make phone guards for that type of thing.
1-phone freezes almost always and I am constantly taking out the battery to fix it.
2-messages mix themselves up and will show only ones from me but none from a sender.
3-time is constantly wrong. it will be 10 and night but my phone says 4 in the morning. I have ran updates and nothing has fixed it.
4-camera is in the stupidest spot as my fingers block it when trying to take a picture, making picture taking VERY awkward.
5-sound quality sucks on the camcorder-messed up some awesome band footage and i didnt even know it until i got home to watch it.
6-touch screen RARELY works and the slider button is in the totally wrong place and is aggravating to have to keep sliding it to access the touch screen
OVERALL IF YOURE THINKING OF BUYING THIS PHONE–DONE! It may seem hella awesome at first but you are better off with something else for sure. This phone was a complete waste of money and a whole lot of unneeded stress.
-One pissed off Kayla
This is by far the worst phone ever. It freezes constantly when u recieve text messages, the cursor freezes when your typing, and the fingerprints are disgusting. Sprint has terrible customer service, too, which doesn’t make anything better. Do NOT buy this phone or buy any service from sprint!!
first of all own this phone for a while. the reason why so many ppl hate it is becuase they have a sprint incognito. my Boost obile incognito is perfect and never froze. everything works better than i expected. the smudges are not that big of a deal. all you have to do is swipe the screen once. i give this 10/10.
great phone i love it, mi battery lasts long and i use the web 24/7, ive had many people complement on it i just love it
and if it freezes just call it or tell someone to send u a massage instead of takin it out,o and i forgot to say that u can personalize the song when it turns off and on 😀
this phone is awesome i had a boost and moved it up to a sprint and its way much better you can do lots more things on sprint then on boost for a cheaper price , mi family plan has four phones and i pay 150 plus everything is unlimited
just ordered this phone. some good reviews, some bad. i guess it cant be worse then my flip phone that i have that has no camera and the screen is small. i hope it works out great for me.
my guess is its better than the LG rumor 2…that phone was THE WORST I ever had
