Does anyone know?
Is there any themes for the new LG Neon TE365? Or are there any themes that are compatible with LG Neon TE365? I love the phone but I don’t like the colour the folders in the menu. So if anyone knows how to change the theme, Plz! let me know
I recently got this phone but I have had issues with finding out how to load songs on, Not to mention trying to find headphones compatible with the phone, If anyone has any information, Please respond
i too just purchased the phone and was wondering how to use the FM radio if i can’t find headphones compatible with the phone
How much coding would it take to add touch features for the icons and moving the text cursor? MINIMAL! In fact, I bet it was just disabled.
Also they crippled the MicroSD so that you are REQUIRED to have your video and audio files in particular directories to see them. What a PITA!
Minor annoyance is no dictionary. Doesn’t come with headset (proprietary jack) and thus no radio since it need it for an antenna. Haven’t figured out how to backup the phone’s memory yet if it can even be done. Also doesn’t come with a data cable.
..You wanna by a car, cheep?
..It’s a nice looking car.
..It comes with seats, but you can’t use them while driving.
..Has air, but you can’t use it when it’s hot.
..It has heat, but you can’t use it when it’s cold.
..But the mirror works all the time, so you can look good in it! π
..Oh and the retractable roof only retracts when there are a flock of birds above ready to cr*p on ya!
BAHAHAHAHAHA!
If you don’t mind the fact that you are paying for stuff you aren’t getting, it appears to be a good phone. Had it for a week now. People can’t hear me so well on the speaker phone. Minimal manual. Haven’t tried web access but I bet no touch screen on that either.
I like the weight (light), the keyboard and battery life is better then the Nokia 6555 I had before.
One thing I *REALLY* like about the phone is that I can return it. Oh wait, that isn’t part of the phone!!
I am trying to find a new phone and need to know where to buy this phone and if it is worth it? Is it a good and useful phoen or no? Please respond
I got one LG NEON, but very disappointed since I can’t use stereo bluetooth handset to play music, and doubt if LG NEON support A2DP. Anyone has same experiencec?
I got a headset from LG, and got the FM radio to work (amazing! – once you put in the headset the phone lets you play the radio on the headset and on loudspeaker too and it rocks!)
It’s much better then some other phones I’ve had π
does anyone know how to get it to play .midi and .aac files (i’m thinking an online converter, any ideas?)
Yo, How do i play mp3 music?
Its a great texting phone except that its super slow. My Nokia 6300 (which is the same price n everything I believe) is slimmer, yes it does have half the battery life, but its super fast, understandable. The LG phone is slow, sliding in and out lags. Its just an overall bad experience. Unless you absolutely hate T9 texting, don’t buy this phone. Oh, and I forgot to mention that they purposefully limit you to 500 text messages, both sent and received. So its rather lame.

I just got the phone and my first question is.
How does any one in the right mind add songs to a mp3 or phone with out a USB cable.
2nd what company in the right mind does not add an instruction manual to teir product all I got was a freaking quick start Manual that told me bull and lastly; how do I make my phone all touch I swear LG needs to improve or answer questions!
Also to answer questions ya it’s kinda slow but it’s alright and for testing u need to talk with ur service provder to change text mine is 500 free texts sending a mounth and free if I’m getting a text this is a good phone for text or im but bad for mp3 and camra like a had this shhh*t samsung phone worst resption but good mp3 and 2 mp camra that can zoom like this phones camras is basic my old phone could add frames but the touch seems sweet only if they had a manual telling us how to do it!!! Btw I did all of this from my iPod touch
To put songs you need to purchase a MicroSD chip and a MicroSD adapter. Click and drag songs via My Computer. Its simple, but stupid. LG isnt smart for not giving USB cable.
Hi there, there’s some ‘Fair enough’ comments in here. I too have purchased 1 of these phones in NZLD. It is an awesome looking fone, but… there are no compatible new themes to download and no online manuals available! I too, as some others got NO manual when I purchased but have managed to find my way around easily.
Putting mp3’s onto the internal or external is not too difficult if you have bluetooth on your comp or other mobiles in your house or circle of friends/family. Also if you have an sd connection on your comp you can drag and drop mp3 files from iTunes or other programs similar, onto your sd card then save it internally if you wish. Hope that makes sense.
I this is helpful to someone!
Overall, not a bad phone, has some character to make it ‘special’ in its on way! Not faster than some models out there.
In my books a 8 out of 10
Cheers

I just bought phone lg TE365 and i cant figure out how to download music can someone help me out
Hi! I am going to buy this phone and I was just wondering what Geoff meant by they limit it to 500 texts sent and recieve. Doesn’t that depend on the plan you get with it, or is it that if you have over 500, you wont recieve them? I am a little confused! Help please!
Anyone know if this is available for purchase in the philippines?
Yeahhh, i also wanna kno how to change the themes? I mean, my menu’s items are all red and white. Like the rogers style, I dont like it, i want to customize it, but can’t find a way. Can anyone help please?
I’m trying to find this phone in red. Probably with Rogers or Fido. Can anyone help me find it?
@ Lynder,
I have this phone, and what he means is that the phone only allows you to store 500 texts at a time, so when time comes that you have sent say, 250 texts and received 250 texts, thats 500 texts. It won’t let you send anymore texts until you have deleted a few texts to make room for new ones. Even if you have a memory card, you won’t be able to save these texts in there.
Lots of you asked for this soo….
HOW TO GET MUSIC ON LG NEON
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QUGUdbWra8&feature=related
When I got my LG Neon 2 months ago, it came with my headset. You can also use an LG Chocolate Headset.
Unfortunately it didnt come with a Data Cable (USB). You can also use an LG Chocolate Data Cable with this phone.
I love this phone! If you’re a casual texter/emailer, then this phone is for you! I bought mine on Kijiji.ca, for only $150, and the headseat was included!
I do not know why people are so negative about the LG Neon. My son has it and I have used it and we both think it is a GREAT phone. It came with a headset, USB cord and manual. Even though we did not use the manual as the phone was very easy to figure out. My son is very happy with the phone, he is 10 and he figued out how to use the radio right away with no help, it would seem that LG made it easy for kids but something for adults to complain about.
Good job LG…great phone!!
I got this phone about a week ago and I would just like to say that I like this phone with one MAJOR caveat that is driving me bonkers!
It’s the MP3 Player. I CANNOT play music by artist or album continuously without creating a playlist, anywhere on the phone. I am with Rogers and have been to two different Rogers Wireless stores, talked on the phone with LG support twice (once in Canada and once in the US) AND twice with Rogers support over the phone. The phone conversations were useless from both parties as both were of the “It’s not us, it’s them” mentality.
Considering that I have no other MP3 player and will be transferring music a lot to this phone, I don’t want to be spending hours creating playlists every time I put new music on the phone. I just want to listen to them by album without having to press a button every 3 minutes (which you CAN do, incidentally, through the Media|Sounds|External Memory menu option).
I figure that this problem could be solved 3 ways:
1. Have a sort on the MP3 player to sort by album or artist. It would then play the songs continuously by album.
2. Have an option when you go into Media|Sounds|External Memory to continue to the next song without pressing a button.
3. Have some kind of software that could be run against the computer where you store your mp3’s to create a playlist in the LG format (whatever format that is…they couldn’t tell me at LG or Rogers) and then be able to transfer it to the phone memory somehow (which they also couldn’t tell me how to do at LG).
No one at Rogers or LG has been able to provide me with a solution to this.
I have been searching on the internet as well and so far have been able to find exactly zilch on this subject.
All I wanted to do was get a phone with an MP3 player and a full keyboard for texting, and not pay for it. So, OK, I figure I have 30 days with Rogers to return it and get another one that will do what I want, right? Wrong.
BUYER BEWARE: If you get a new phone with Rogers as part of a plan, you have 30 days OR 30 MINUTES OF AIRTIME to return it, whichever comes first!
They might as well say you have 2 days to return it (and that is lienient). I mean, how are you supposed to check out the new phone without racking up minutes? I can’t check out the features without putting the sim card in. Oh, I know you don’t use the minutes when going through the options of the phone, but if someone calls me, I will need to answer the phone without pulling out the sim card and putting it in my old phone! However, in the future, I will probably NOT answer any calls on a new phone until I am satisfied the phone does all I need. I just didn’t expect this particular problem. Who would?
Anyway, if anyone knows anything about this, please let me know.
Thanks.
Later.
i’ve been useing the te365 for about 3 weeks now and i find it pretty straight forward. adding music and videos is quite simple with soe basic knowledg of comp’s. my problem is instaling games? if anyone can help me out it would be greatly apreacieted!
hey i just got this TE365 phone and have been having one problem:
everyonce and a while when i got to check my phone, it will be completely off. this can happen randomly (as in i put it in my pocket and two seconds later, it is completely shut off). does this happen to anyone else? each time it happens, i am required to wait the five minutes it takes to turn it on again…very frusterating.
also…does anyone know if it can assign speed dial??
The things I’ve learned about the LG Neon:
-It came with no USB cable…. lame.
-It is completely propietary with headsets and USB cable, that was stupid, are they trying to be as retarded as Sony?
-I still can’t figure out how to export videos taken with it to my PC or to upload to YouTube.
-I was lucky enough to get the FM radio headset and it works great, nice sound!
-The touchscreen was purposely disabled and you can only use it for dialing, how lame is that?
-I have to “unlock” the bloody thing pressing two buttons to use it, if I’m being killed on the sidewalk I would die on the spot trying to call 911.
-The ringtones are girlish and sucky, but luckily it has a pretty decent loud volume to make those ringtones listenable in a bus or while driving.
-I love the quality of both pics and video, now if I could only figure out how to export to my PC.
-I have figured out how to download MP3 files to it via the micro SD, I prefer this way better than direct transfer with a USB cable.
-It’s hard to navigate and make choices when you have the keyboard slided out, it’s confusing.
-You cannot see HMTL websites naturally, only in mobile format, this technology is 5 million years old, c’mon let’s get with the program and ban Mobile Internet standard.
-The video and picture features are NOT user-friendly at all, I haven’t even figured out how to stop or start recording but I done it by just pressing buttons wildly.
-No manual for newbies, just a quick startup book.
HOW DO YOU SEND A TEXT WITHOUT KNOWING THE PERSON’S ACTUALLY NUMBER ?!?! I go to send a text to several people at once and the “Contacts” option changes into the “Send” button. WTF. SO this phone is telling me that I can’t send texts to multiple people unless I know their numbers off by heart ? Horrible, horrible phone with cheap headphones. I do not recommend this phone at all. Awkward, brutal, and very poorly designed.
you go down to the second contact then press options, then contacts. seems pretty straight forward to me.
sorry not the second contact, the second recipient of the message. or 3rd or 4th. it will let you send it to up to 10 people.
Got the phone today, works good so far. However I cant send texts, only receive? Side from that, no USB cord in my box and the phone-jack is strange, I have nothing that fits into that.
What kinda cable is that?
Ok, to answer lots of questions, or just respond to them…
I don’t have the phone, but want it, because I have read a TON about it. First of all, it’s not a full touch screen. They made it only for dialing, it can’t be full touchscreen, period. Why on earth would they make it full touchscreen, but then lock it and not let you use it until YOU change it. …THEY WOULDN’T! If you want a full touch screen, go buy the Xenon or ITouch. Second, I’m surprised FM Radio worked for one person, because they said it didn’t have it. (att) Good for you, whoever said they got it (not in a sarcastic way, I’m serious.)
Third, it’s not hard to click options, delete all for texts. Unless you’re an FBI, or Secret Service person, you don’t need to see what EVERYONE said to you in the past month, and I’m pretty sure if you’re anything that DOES need to, such as the above, or other jobs, you won’t have this kind of phone.
Anyways, I just have ONE BIG QUESTION- actually, two(ish).
First, is there someway you can type messages without the full keyboard. Like, it says you can dial with the touchscreen, but can you use the nine buttons to write a message?
Because recently, I have used my friends’ phones, and they all have T9, and I think its kind of cool. But I mean, I’ll get over it if they don’t have it, lol. it has a whole keyboard, I don’t know what else I can do to save time, lol. But please tell me if it does have T9, also. THANKS SO MUCH! And I hope I helped some of you with your questions!
Does anyone know if the Aqua Blue/Black color will be available to US AT&T users anytime soon? (LG’s site has the Blue/Black and White/Green color options listed, while AT&T only has the White/Green.)
how do you get the music from your memory card to add to your contacts?
for the User guide fully illustrated on how to use your phone”
–I missed it the first couple of times too–but eventually got the pdf downloaded no problem. Acc 2 manual, Supposed to have an FM built in, mP3 player, choice of themes yes, & phone supposedly capable of being used like a big memory stick (“Mass storage device”)–but then EXTRA SUPER LAME to not include the proprietary USB cable!–Pics look transferable via email, MultimediaMessage or Bluetooth, but Video seems transferable only via email or MM.–Just got mine 2 days ago free with 2 yr. contract. Headset came with it and the Quick Start Guide, but NOT USB CABLE–SHAME!!!–will see if i have anything more to say once battery is charged… Hope the manual link helps you all at least.
PS-once at the lgservice site, click on ‘Manuals’ on the left and punch in the model TE365–hope that saves you a bit of time.KG
HEY
does anyone knows if this phone will come to singapore?
i can’t seem to find it in the stores.
Hi
I just got an LG Neon That came with the headset, a charger and instructions and battery. I was just wondering how exactly do you put in songs with a USB Cable since I got one with the phone. If you have an answer please tell me. I do not thnk the instructions tell me so. Thank you.
i just got this phone because my old one was stolen. i like it enough, it’s realy easy for me to use, if a bit slow, which i don’t really mind because it’s pretty. the only thing i’m having trouble with is this: i used bluetooth to send a message tone to the phone and it worked just fine, but when i tried to send another one it stopped the upload at like 21% and said “failed” and my computer screen said there wasn’t enough space. but when i checked the phone’s memory it said most of it was free, except the 74Kb that the first tone i sent to it used. it’s a 14Mb memory that’s mostly empty and it won’t let me add more after that first one.
if anyone knows how to fix this without getting an microsd or usb cable, please let me know. jillybean1.9@gmail.com
hey guys i have a KS360 phone which is pretty similar 2 this one i think, i looks exactly the same! u can find the user guide here http://www.o2.co.uk/deviceinfo/device-pdfs/lgks360eng.pdf
also, i got a USB cable and a headset with my phone so i guess it depends on where u bought it
hope the user guide helps out
xox
Alright,
I JUST got my external memory chip thing ( 2 GB or whatever I think). And I don’t know how to get the music on it . I can put the pictures on perfectly fine , but not the music.. Also , I didn’t read all the comments , but I havn’t seen one so far with ANSWERS .
Finally someone used the word bluetooth. Correct me if I’m wrong, but many computers have bluetooth. That is how I transferred my mp3 files to the phone. It’s wireless and therefore does not require any cable (which is why they likely didn’t include it.) My phone also came with the head set for the FM radio.
If you need a full User Guide it can be downloaded as a pdf on Fido’s website (and, I assume, any service provider’s site). The step-by-step on how to use the bluetooth is in the User Guide.
I too would love to know how to change the colours of the menu icons, fido makes them all yellow. It’s not pretty.
I cannot find any T9 capabilities. You can use the touchscreen for letters as you would a normal number keypad, with 3 or 4 letters per button.
I hope that was helpful to some.
Oh, forgot to mention you can buy a USB cable though, if you do not have bluetooth. I bought a car adapter for my phone, from Fido, and it was sort of a two part cable. The wire from the phone attaches to the car adapter part by way of USB (and therefore also attaches to my computer). So it’s a dual function chord.
i have the ks360
i love it but one thing i find a pain is to download music onto
and people if u do not like the phone y did u buy it ? for 99euro it can’t be up to the same as the new nokia (copy) and that is 300
i love this phone, except for the fact that it randomly shuts off.. even while im in the middle of a call! i always have to check it, to make sure it didn’t turn off. it happened three times today. even while i was talking to my mom, and she was angry.. she thought i hung up on her! can’t stand it..
I got the phone this weekend but i took the SD card from my BB phone out which has all my music but when i put it into this phone it doesnt show any of my music files….helppppp i need music in my life lol
I’m just trying out the LG Neon right now. It’s not bad, really.
I have it working just fine with my A2DP Stereo bluetooth headset (the iLuv from Futureshop).
I didn’t have to do anything special to get it working. Just put the headset in pairing mode and selected New device… on the phone. It worked perfectly.
The touchscreen is stupid. It only works when dialing. I don’t know why they’d bother putting in the hardware for it to just dial numbers. That’s ridiculous. Oh well.
The camera is passable and it takes better quality video than my old S-E K790a.
Texting is very fast once you learn the keyboard. The symbol input is stupid, I think. After I trained myself to remember to press ok after each symbol I was faster. This only took a few times to remember. Bad UI design, though.
Overall the software for this phone sucks balls. It’s a great piece of hardware, and I’m not sure what processor is in it but I bet it’s fast enough to run a really good OS. Someone needs to write a homebrew firmware for this. Maybe make it so an unlocked phone can have android uploaded to it or something.
My phone came with the headphones required to enjoy FM radio – but I haven’t used it at all. I use a bluetooth headset. FM didn’t work on my old phone this way either. Oh well. More useless features. I bet the radio would work fine without the headphones. They just want you to buy more stuff.
So far this is kinda a shity phone i had it freeze three times today and also i hate the fact that it wont let me save any of my text messages, if anyone has figure out how to do that let me know!
DO NOT BUY THE LG NEON TE365 PHONE. It has major defects that will affect phone calls and text messages. Frequently when you make a call, you will not hear the phone you have called ringing. Then when the other person picks up, you wonβt hear them talking for a few seconds. If you don’t know this it may cause you to hang up on people or cause them to hang up on you. Also, the phone will randomly turn itself off when you open it to answer a call or close it when finished. You will then have to wait to turn it back on. This can be extremely frustrating.
These are known defects and you will find other complaints about this in web postings. LG and the various carriers know about this and are not fixing these problems or taking these defective phones back.
i know the phone which suckss =D
